A traditional Egyptian blend of warm spices and nuts. Great to have a jar stashed away in the cupboard to sprinkle over salads, yoghurts or dips for bread. A pre-mixed air tight jar will keep for up to a month before the flavours begin to dull.
Ingredients:
150g toasted almonds
150g toasted hazelnuts
50g toasted sesame seeds
25g toasted coriander seeds
25g toasted cumin seeds
25g sumac
Sea salt and black pepper
10g dried thyme
Method:
Evenly toast the nuts and seeds.
Crush them in a pestle and mortar then tip into a bowl.
Add the remaining ingredients and stir until well combined.
