Dukkah

A traditional Egyptian blend of warm spices and nuts. Great to have a jar stashed away in the cupboard to sprinkle over salads, yoghurts or dips for bread. A pre-mixed air tight jar will keep for up to a month before the flavours begin to dull.

 


Ingredients:


  • 150g toasted almonds

  • 150g toasted hazelnuts

  • 50g toasted sesame seeds

  • 25g toasted coriander seeds

  • 25g toasted cumin seeds

  • 25g sumac

  • Sea salt and black pepper

  • 10g dried thyme


Method:


  • Evenly toast the nuts and seeds.

  • Crush them in a pestle and mortar then tip into a bowl.

  • Add the remaining ingredients and stir until well combined.
